Second, casting sand, from the head, in the coolant system is normal once the bike has heat cycled a few times. This is a good reason to flush the system after the first few thousand miles.
After30 minutes cool-down however everything back to normal. This is the THIRD triple 1050 I have known to have this sort of starter trouble, two of mine and one my brother's. (the others were both STSprints). It seems long runs and hot engines deter the starter's willingness.

As Andy said occasional EML fault will go out again after three cycles of the engine cold/hot; cold/hot; Cold/hot. If it doesn't, then further diagnosis will be required.

Iknow a bunch of us speed triple owners (05 and up) are also having this problem. I dont see much mention on this forum about hard starting on the 1050 engines. I own a tuneboy, and was hoping that just loading a new map would fix it. (Nope) I also tried changing the plugs to Iridium (did work either)

Geta zip tie and tie the clutch handle all the way back. Lay the bike over on the right side over night. Drain the excess oil out, put tank on and be happy. Works about 75% of the time. If really bad a repeat solves another 10-15 percent. Some so stuck together only pulling the plates fixes the issue.
Ive fitted some Oxford Products Micro Indicators to my 2007 1050 S3, they have 6w halogen bulbs (not LED's), however they still flashed too fast with all four fitted. I purchased the dual-load relay from triumph-online and all was fine with the ignition on but once I was running the indicators flashed even faster than with the factory relay.

Upgradingmeaning the new regulator/rectifier. Just look up on Google the design of the old and new style rectifier. If I remember correctly the new model should have thicker wires or something like that. Then compare what rectifier you have on your bike. Its really worth looking into, because the old model rectfiers are garbage will fail

See the attached spreadsheet. As near as I can figure, these are all the original equipment injectors from the first fuel injected Triumph to the last 955i.
